The Wellness Division is here to offer program and services to support our members in leading healthy holistic lifestyles to ensure opportunities for all. Our division provides all levels of assistance for our members including employment, education, community programming, family programming and counseling. One of our key priorities is to include our traditional ways in all programming and to ensure communication to all our members. Development of community pride is key. Our long-term goal leads back to our YKDFN vision statement, which is  “Healthy and Sovereign Weledeh First Nation with Excellent Governance.

Mission

The YKDFN Wellness Division provides efficient, holistic wellness programs and services to empower members to make healthy choices and opportunities As Long as the Sun Rises, River Flows and Grass Grows.

Dene Wellness Support

Cyndi Caisse and Cindy Wells provide education and awareness of addiction and its effects, assessments, counselling, case management, crisis intervention, referrals to treatment, recovery and aftercare, follow-up sessions, relapse prevention, home visits, sharing circle, support groups, presentations, workshops and mental health activities.
